Proposal 006 - Algorand Development and Validator Addition (5L8LbT3xC)

Introduction:

This is the sixth proposal submitted by the Staker Operations team (Ops) based on STKR token

holder feedback. The primary purpose of this proposal is to formalize StakerDAO’s commitment

to build on the Algorand network, initially through the creation of BLND on Algorand. StakerDAO

will also add Blockdaemon as a validator for BLND’s underlying assets.

Proposal Items:

  1. Ops team, based on STKR token holder feedback, is proposing to commit to building on

Algorand, initially by making BLND available on Algorand through a swap mechanism that will

allow registered holders of BLND on Ethereum to port their position into the Algorand network

and vice versa.

  1. Ops team is also proposing to add Blockdaemon as a validator for BLND’s underlying assets.

ITEM 1:

StakerDAO has engaged in conversations with the Algorand team and key ecosystem

participants, which has led StakerDAO to feel confident about building on the Algorand network.

StakerDAO believes this will create a long-term partnership and it will receive support in its

efforts on an ongoing basis. StakerDAO will begin by making BLND available on Algorand. This

ability will be available to registered holders who participated in the BLND offering on CoinList.

StakerDAO will then continue to explore other ideas in the ecosystem with relevant partners and

may push forward other proposals as early as the tail end of this year.

ITEM 2:

Blockdaemon is an infrastructure and node provider with deep expertise and connections

across various networks. Blockdaemon is a STKR token holder and will be a valuable addition

to the validator set for BLND’s underlying assets. Blockdaemon will validate for both Tezos and

Cosmos.

The revised validator set for Tezos and Cosmos will be as follows:

Tezos:

The following validators will participate in baking: Blockdaemon, Cryptium Labs,

CryptoDelegate, Figment Networks, HappyTezos, Staked, and StakeNow.

Cosmos:

The following validators will participate in validating: Blockdaemon, Cryptium Labs, Figment

Networks, and Staked.
